From a mountaintop in Chile, the Vera C. Rubin Observatory just launched a 10-year mission to produce the most complete map of the universe ever — and Rider gets to help! In his first official mission as a U.S. Coast Guard swimmer and petty officer, @scottruskan ’21 rescued nearly 200 people from the deadly flood waters that ravaged central Texas during Fourth of July weekend. Praised as an American hero for his role, Scott credits his crew and all those still on the ground doing the work. As Rider’s 7th president, Dr. Gregory Dell’Omo's tenure was marked by significant, historic progress and even greater Bronc pride. From overseeing major campus renovations to adding nearly 20 new academic programs, his commitment to strengthening the student experience remained a guiding force throughout his presidency. When Patrick Jones ’18 took over @cpfirehousedog, he brought his heart for service from the classroom to the kitchen. 🌭 A special education teacher with zero restaurant experience, Patrick took a leap of faith and bought the beloved Lawrence Township, NJ restaurant with his mom.
