The sociology major blends theory with applied learning and features foundational coursework in sociology and anthropology, a sequence of skills courses and a variety of substantive courses on specific topics.
Rider鈥檚 training in sociology provides an excellent background and skills for a wide range of careers. Graduates pursue careers in business, counseling, education, government, policy advocacy, public health, media, social services and more. Students also possess a strong foundation to pursue further education to obtain degrees in law, urban planning or social work.
