Although Kristin already had a bachelor鈥檚 degree in biological sciences from the and a master鈥檚 degree in quality assurance & regulatory affairs from , she decided to further her knowledge and credentials with a graduate business degree.

鈥淚 can鈥檛 say enough about the program and my professors,鈥 says Kristin. 鈥淚t was an exceptional learning experience.鈥
Although she had never taken a business class in college, Kristin was able to keep up with outside readings and follow up with her professors. 鈥淣ot having a strong business foundation was definitely a challenge, but the program is designed in a way that students without a background in business can be successful and those with a business background are still challenged,鈥 she says.
鈥淩ider鈥檚 EMBA program gave me a higher comfort level with the language and process of business. Most of all, I gained valuable perspective about what drives various stakeholders,鈥 adds Kristin. 鈥淭his enabled me to be more effective at leading teams and influencing change within my organization.鈥
During the 19-month EMBA program, Kristin was promoted at CoreLab to Director of Global Clinical Operations, a position she held for three years. In 2013, she left the company to assume her current job as associate director, critical phase program management at the .
