Students are invited put their leadership and team-building skills to the test on Sunday, April 15, when they race across the Richard A. Coppola Pool — in cardboard canoes.

Dr. Rev. DeForest B. Soaries, former New Jersey Secretary of State, gave the keynote address during the closing ceremony of СÓÅÊÓƵ’s Black History Month Celebration on February 28.

Junior Journalism major David Pavlak is one of just five students selected by the New Jersey Press Foundation to receive a competitive paid internship with a newspaper this summer. Pavlak, of Bloomingdale, N.J., will spend eight weeks working for The Record of Woodland Park.

Working as a production coordinator for the NFL Network, Kelly Dixon ’10 spent a good part of February in Indianapolis covering Super Bowl XLVI and the annual NFL Scouting Combine.

This was the University’s first year to compete in the competition where university-sponsored teams that research and analyze a designated publicly traded company, prepare a written report and then present their findings to a panel of judges.

The College of Business Administration students will compete against teams from nine other teams on March 29 and 30.
