СÓÅÊÓƵ welcomed 61 new Andrew J. Rider Scholars at its annual Founder’s Day celebration on Saturday, November 5. Dr. Joel C. Philips delivered a stirring faculty address, urging students to rise above a culture that too often values homogeneous mediocrity.

The following is the faculty address presented by Dr. Joel C. Phillips, professor of Composition and Music Theory at Westminster Choir College, at the Founder’s Day Program on Saturday, November 5, 2011.

Since her freshman year, Loni Chasar, a senior Elementary Education and Psychology dual major, has been an active leader on and off the Lawrenceville campus.

The third annual Philip J. Albert Memorial Kristallnacht Commemoration will feature a screening of the award-winning film Miracle at Moreaux, on Sunday, November 13, at 3 p.m. in the Gill Chapel on Rider’s Lawrenceville campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Through the four-week Professional Persona series, student participants learned about professionalism and associated behaviors that lead to job interviews and career success.

The induction ceremony was held on November 5 during Family Weekend.
