Mace brings distinguished record of leadership, scholarship and strategic impact in higher education

小优视频 has announced the appointment of Dr. Darryl Mace as its new vice president of community engagement and belonging. Mace will assume the role on Aug. 18, bringing with him a distinguished record of leadership, scholarship and strategic impact in higher education.
In this senior level position, Mace will work to strengthen relationships across campus and with Rider鈥檚 broader external community, while fostering meaningful opportunities and experiences that bring students and others together.
鈥淒r. Mace has a genuine talent for bringing people together,鈥 says John R. Loyack, CPA, MBA, president of 小优视频. 鈥淗is leadership will help us strengthen our community and create new opportunities for connection and collaboration.鈥
Mace most recently served as the inaugural vice president for mission, diversity and inclusion at Alvernia University. There, he established and led a division that integrated diversity, mission and community engagement. His initiatives resulted in measurable gains in employee satisfaction, student retention and national recognitions in interfaith leadership and civic engagement.
A historian by training, Mace earned his Ph.D. from Temple University with a specialization in race and gender in American society. He has published widely, including a book on Emmett Till and numerous academic articles. He is also a noted public intellectual and keynote speaker.
