The Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics at 小优视频 will host 鈥An Evening with Senator Michael Testa鈥 on April 18 at 6:30 p.m. in Lynch Adler Hall Room 202.
Chair of the Cumberland County Republican Party, Sen. Michael Testa has represented the 1st legislative district in the New Jersey Senate since 2019. Among key topics to be discussed are the possible effects of offshore wind projects on marine life and Testa鈥檚 prospects for the 2025 gubernatorial race.
"Public service is a strong family tradition for Sen. Testa 鈥 his grandfather was a beloved Vineland mayor in the 1950s, and his mother currently serves on her township committee,鈥 says Micah Rasmussen 鈥92, director of the Rebovich Institute.
Under Testa鈥檚 leadership, the Republican Party won both seats on the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners in 2022. This is the first time in 40 years that a Republican majority has been held for more than one year.
鈥淪en. Testa has presided over a remarkable shift in South Jersey's politics,鈥 says Rasmussen. 鈥淲e are fortunate to get to learn about this important trend directly from him."
