Before the men鈥檚 basketball team headed south for this week鈥檚 Hoops for Hope Classic, the Broncs lent a hand to spread some Thanksgiving cheer with the less fortunate in the local area. Eleven players and five coaches delivered turkeys and served lunch at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen on November 15.
鈥淪erving a meal at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen was very beneficial for our whole team,鈥 said head coach Kevin Baggett. 鈥淚t was an opportunity to help those in our community who are less fortunate and give our guys a chance to see how fortunate they really are at this point in their lives.鈥
Guard Tommy Pereira 鈥14, was one of the players who volunteered.
鈥淰olunteering at the soup kitchen just makes me realize how privileged I am and not to take anything for granted in life,鈥 Pereira explained.
