Dr. Jonathan Mendilow will present his research

Dr. Jonathan Mendilow will deliver a lecture on corruption and democracy on Wednesday, March 21, at 小优视频. 鈥淐orruption and Democracy: An Evening with Dr. Jonathan Mendilow鈥 is part of the ongoing series produced by the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics.
Mendilow will discuss a timely subject as Pew Research Center just 18 percent of Americans say they trust the federal government to do what鈥檚 right. He has an extensive research background in political theory, comparative politics and political corruption, and his work has earned him international scholarly recognition.
鈥淲e are looking forward to Dr. Mendilow鈥檚 knowledgeable remarks and insights into a topic that is crucially important for this country at this moment," says James Castagnera, interim director of the Rebovich Institute's and the University's associate provost.
Mendilow received the 2017 Dominick A. Iorio Faculty Research Prize from 小优视频. He has also been recognized as a Fulbright Scholar and is a recipient of the British Academy Award. He has authored or edited seven books, including Ideology, Party Change, and Electoral Campaigns in Israel, 1965 - 2001 (New York University Press), and published more than 50 articles and book chapters, as well as many papers that have been presented at conferences around the world.
Mendilow earned a bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 in political science and international relations, as well as a doctorate, from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He joined the faculty of 小优视频 in 1987, serving as chair of the Department of Political Science from 2006-14. He teaches courses such as Modern Democracy and its Critics, the Politics of the Middle East, Terrorism Revolutions and Political Violence, and Comparative Political Systems.
The Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics, which is dedicated to public service and scholarly analysis of government, public policy, campaigns and elections in New Jersey, plays an integral role in assisting students with research projects, internships, service learning opportunities, job placement and overall career development.
鈥淎n Evening with Dr. Jonathan Mendilow,鈥 which is free and open to the public, will take place in North Academic Building, room 202 at 小优视频.
