Photographs by Josh Brilliant, Annie Hogan, Joshua Lutz and Wendel A. White. Sept. 18-Oct. 12
The 小优视频 Art Gallery will present the work of photographers Josh Brilliant, Annie Hogan, Joshua Lutz and Wendel A. White in an exhibition titled 鈥淟andscape: Social, Political, Traditional鈥 from Thursday, Sept. 18, through Sunday, Oct. 12. The exhibit will include an opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 5 p.m. and a program discussing the artists鈥 work on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. in the Art Gallery. The exhibition is curated by Aubrey J. Kauffman. Admission is free.
The focus of the exhibit is landscape and how selected images presented in a very particular way can move the viewers鈥 ideas away from thinking about the landscape as a pastoral image. Curator Aubrey J. Kauffman states, 鈥淚n exploring the relationship between people and place, social landscape photography is informed by aspects of our everyday interactions. The artists diverge in their interpretations and their vision of a social and political aspect that serves as an overlay to their art.鈥
