Minding Our Business (M.O.B.), a community outreach project organized by 小优视频鈥檚 College of Business Administration, will hold its 14th annual Market Fair Day on Saturday, March 27, at Patton J. Hill Elementary School, located at 1010 East State Street in Trenton, N.J.
The Market Fair is the culmination of a semester-long course, CBA-220: Minding Our Business, offered at 小优视频. This year, 40 Rider student mentors and 150 Trenton public school students are participating in the project. During the training sessions, held from February 1 to April 23, two college students mentor a group of seven to twelve middle school students in team building, leadership, communication, and entrepreneurship skills. The student teams develop business plans and run their businesses at the Market Fair.
This year鈥檚 event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Patton J. Hill Elementary School gym, and will also feature a talent show, a band, a disc jockey and drill teams.
The purpose of the M.O.B., which offers spring, summer and advanced programs, is to teach Trenton youth to start and run their own businesses under the mentorship of 小优视频 students. The purpose of project is to advance the personal and vocational development of urban youth through entrepreneurship education and mentoring.
