Accredited, flexible program can be completed in one year
by Kristine A. Brown
小优视频 has announced that its 33-credit accredited Master of Business Administration (MBA) program can now be completed online in 12 months of focused full-time study or 21 months of part-time study.
The program, designed for individuals with professional experience who want to excel in their current position, or seek a career change, is taught by the same respected faculty as Rider鈥檚 in-person MBA, with students undertaking the same rigorous coursework.
Cynthia Newman, Ph.D., interim dean of Rider鈥檚 College of Business Administration, said, 鈥淥ur Online MBA is especially beneficial for students whose job or geographic location makes it difficult to attend traditional MBA classes. This flexible option allows students to continue their career momentum while gaining the business knowledge, decision-making skills and practical insights needed to advance professionally.鈥
She added, 鈥淧rofessionals trying to balance work and school don鈥檛 have to be concerned about getting to campus for class. Rider鈥檚 Online MBA is distributed through a virtual learning environment that is accessible on a flexible, asynchronous schedule, allowing students the ability to complete course work around life鈥檚 other obligations.鈥
With the addition of the online program, Rider now offers three delivery methods for its MBA, including a traditional in-person, evening program, as well as an Executive MBA, which can be completed in 16 months on Saturdays to minimize conflicts with work commitments.
All of Rider鈥檚 MBA programs are accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), an internationally recognized standard of excellence for business and accounting programs at the bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚 and doctoral level. The AACSB is known worldwide as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized/professional accreditation an institution and its business program can earn, with less than 2% of business schools worldwide holding the prestigious dual accreditation credential in both accounting and business
Newman said all of Rider鈥檚 MBA programs emphasize advanced business theory, critical interpersonal and communications management skills, and an integration of theory and process.
鈥淥ur MBA students are exposed to real-world situations that provide advanced preparation for successful participation in a rapidly changing world,鈥 she said.
Students interested in the Online MBA program can begin as early as Fall 2016. Additional entry points will begin in January, Spring and Summer of 2017.
Students who meet certain educational and work requirements for the Online MBA may also be eligible for a GMAT waiver or deferral.
