Celebrating and paying tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans this November.
Premiere Event: Creation & Stories: Cornhusk Doll Making Workshop
Tuesday, November 11
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
BLC Cavalla Room
In honor of Native American Heritage Month, join us for Creation & Stories — a hands-on cultural experience led by Noel Chrisjohn Benson and Rachel Marco-Havens.
Through the making of cornhusk dolls, participants will explore the deep connections between ancestry, the land, and the stories that shape our identities. As we craft together, Noel and Rachel will share traditional stories and invite participants to reflect on their own lineages and relationships to the earth.
This experience encourages reflection, storytelling, and reconnection — weaving together creativity and culture to honor both shared and individual histories. Attendees will leave with their own handmade cornhusk doll and a renewed sense of connection to tradition, community, and self.
